Dear Youth Worker and Promoter,
It's that time of year again! We are very excited about the 2017 Belpre Youth Rally! It will be November 17th-19th at the Belpre Church of Christ. We believe God is going to work in amazing ways to change lives and encourage your students. Last year we had a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again this year!
Our theme this year is "The Mission." We have invited Phil Brookman to be our keynote speaker again this year. We will be looking at what the mission of God is for His people. Phil will be speaking on Good News, Good Deeds, and Good Lives. Our goal is that students will walk away with an understanding of what God's mission is and how He uses us to accomplish it.
We are also very excited to have Jeff Walling with us this year! Jeff will be teaching the youth workers/adults breakout sessions. He'll be speaking on how we can equip our students to be leaders in this generation and live out the mission of God. You won't want to miss that! Then in the afternoon session Jeff will speak to the students and guide us in a special activity we'll tell you about when you get here. Along with all that, he will be representing Pepperdine University.
Our breakout sessions this year will be focused on each of the three topics Phil is speaking about (Good News, Good Deeds, Good Lives). Each category will have three breakout sessions to choose from.
We know that some of the classes will be in high demand. In order to limit classes being overfilled, we will fill up classes on a first come, first served basis. Once we receive your paid registration (not just the registration), we will send you an email with a link to the class choices where you can sign up your students. We will NOT be posting teachers' names. We want the students to choose based on theme and not by a teacher's popularity. However, we are very excited about our teacher lineup. We have youth ministers from the surrounding area who do a fantastic job.
This youth rally is for 7th-12th grade, college students and chaperons (if your youth group is 6th-12th grade we will allow your 6th graders to attend). The cost for chaperones is $20. The early bird cost per student is $35 if registration is received by November 12th. After November 12th, the price will be $45 per student. Getting your registration in early helps us better prepare for housing and food! You may send the printed registration by mail or scan it and send it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. There are two ways to pay: We will have Paypal this year as an option. Send money to email@example.com. Include in the note your church name. If you wish to pay by check, please SEND ONE CHECK payable to the "Belpre Church of Christ Youth Rally" to 2932 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, OH 45714. Please mark ATTN TRAVIS on your envelope/letter. MAKE SURE CHECKS ARE MADE OUT TO US AND NOT YOUR OWN HOME CONGREGATION. That happens a lot! We'd prefer just on check from your church rather than several individual checks from students (unless they are coming alone).
Lunch will be provided on Saturday. Saturday evening dinner will be on the town.
Cancellation Policy: We understand that students that commit will sometimes cancel on you. We will give you a refund if the cancellation is made known to us before November 12th. After that date, you may substitute one student for another that cannot attend. However, we will not be able to offer back a refund for that student (if there is a circumstance that is extreme or you think deserves consideration, ask the registration team upon arrival about it).
We will be selling T-shirts this year at $10. They are NOT included in the price of registration.
Also, after dinner we will be taking up a special contribution for a non-profit organization. Please make your students aware of this.
Housing will be provided if requested by November 12th. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE HOUSING AFTER THIS DATE.
Please keep the Belpre Youth Rally in your prayers. We are in continual prayer about this event. We believe that God will bless your students and also the youth workers and volunteers that attend. We serve a God of wonders, and we look forward to what He will teach us that weekend.
Travis Williams, Family Life Minister
